What is the library services platform?

Answer

The library services platform (LSP) is the suite of software that libraries use to acquire, manage, and lend resources—as well as allowing users to search for, find, and access those resources.

In June 2025, the CWRU Libraries, along with the OhioLINK academic library consortium, will transition to a new LSP. Following the transition, users can expect enhancements to the libraries’ catalog searching, access and delivery of electronic resources, and streamlined borrowing from other OhioLINK Member Libraries, as well as a more intuitive search platform.
